In the latter half of 1950 the Crystal Bay Development Company, headed by Art Wood, purchased a part of Whittell’s land, kickstarting the creation of what is now known as Incline Village.

The 1960s were a time of rapid growth and development for Incline Village. Many new properties and facilities were created to cater to an ever-increasing amount of residents and tourists.
